Is there lead in Saltix sea salt?

Heavy metals like lead are naturally present in trace amounts throughout our environment — in air, water, soil, and nearly every natural food we eat, from produce to grains to seafood. Because Saltix is a genuine unrefined sea salt, it contains the full spectrum of ocean minerals, including ultra‑trace levels of naturally occurring elements. Our salts are third‑party tested and fall well below the CODEX international standards for lead in salt (1 ppm for table salt, 2 ppm for natural unrefined sea salt) and California Prop 65 requirements. The amounts are so small they pose no meaningful risk for normal consumption — comparable to, and often lower than, everyday foods.
